Learning and Development Specialist
Position Overview:
The Learning and Development Specialist is a dynamic role responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining impactful training programs across our organization. This individual will create engaging content, facilitate interactive training sessions, and provide ongoing development support to ensure our associates are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Creation:
• Develop and design comprehensive training materials, including manuals, presentations, e-learning modules, and job aids tailored to various roles.
• Collaborate with leadership, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to identify training needs and create relevant content.
• Ensure all content aligns with company goals, brand values, and the Omni experience.
2. Facilitation:
• Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to a diverse audience.
• Use a variety of instructional techniques and formats, such as role-playing, simulations, group discussions, and hands-on activities, to enhance learning outcomes.
• Adapt facilitation style to accommodate different learning preferences and ensure inclusivity.
3. Ongoing Training and Support:
• Conduct regular follow-up training to reinforce learning and address evolving needs.
• Provide one-on-one coaching or team-based workshops as needed.
• Act as a go-to resource for associates and leaders seeking guidance on skills development or process improvements.
4. Performance Measurement:
• Assess the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, performance metrics, and other evaluation tools.
• Use data-driven insights to refine content and delivery methods continuously.
5. Collaboration and Alignment:
• Partner with store managers, district trainers, and corporate teams to ensure training initiatives align with business objectives.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the retail environment, including sales strategies, customer service standards, and product knowledge.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in training, facilitation, and instructional design (retail experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and various training methodologies.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in creating content using tools such as Microsoft Office, Canva, or e-learning platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support multiple locations.

Work Environment:
